Reimagining the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Pagoda in LEGO®

Some landmarks are so iconic, they deserve to be immortalized—in motorsport history and in bricks. Brixilated is thrilled to share our latest high-octane project: a custom replica of the legendary IMS Pagoda made of LEGO, proudly displayed as a retail fixture in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum Store.

From Start Line to Skyline: The Story Behind the Structure

The Pagoda is more than just a building—it's a symbol of endurance, speed, and tradition. Towering above the start-finish line, this architectural marvel stands at 199 feet and has presided over some of racing’s most legendary moments. For this project, we scaled this legacy down to fit inside a store, without sacrificing any of its grandeur.

Working with 555 International and the IMS team, we created a detailed LEGO model that captures the spirit of the original Pagoda while adding our signature Brixilated storytelling flair.

About the project

What’s Under the Hood (Or, In This Case, the Roof)

Built to strict dimensions of 3’-10” x 6’-2”, this LEGO Pagoda isn’t just for show—it’s a storytelling engine. Peek inside and you’ll find:

Mini interior vignettes visible through clear "glass" bricks

LEGO minifigures placed throughout—including a tiny Roger Penske overseeing the action

Custom printed IMS and TAG Heuer signage, reflecting real-world partnerships

Playful light kits and interactive elements that bring the model to life

Shelving areas designed for creative merchandise display

From its steel-blue roofline to the stylized "Yard of Bricks" at its base, this fixture is both a visual centerpiece and a celebration of motorsports heritage.
